Full-Stack Business Application
RDC Media Application
Aug 2026 - Present
A secure internal business application developed for RDC Media to support quotation workflows, approvals, MIO processing, document management, archive handling, and audit history.
Project Overview
What I built
The RDC Media Application was developed to centralise several internal business processes into a single secure platform. The application brings together quotation management, approval workflows, MIO processing, document archiving, historical records, and role-based access while reducing reliance on disconnected manual processes.
Challenge
The problem I needed to solve
The application needed to support multiple workflows involving different levels of access while protecting sensitive business information. Authorization could not rely only on hiding interface elements, so access controls also needed to be enforced at the server and database layers. Uploaded documents also needed to remain private and securely accessible.
Approach
How I approached it
I developed the application using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Tailwind CSS. The system combines authenticated user sessions, role-based access control, PostgreSQL Row Level Security, server-side validation, secure storage workflows, and structured approval processes. Additional automation was introduced for document classification and archive handling.
Implementation
Key implementation details
- Developed secure quotation, approval, MIO, document-management, archive, and audit-history workflows.
- Implemented authentication, role-based access control, PostgreSQL Row Level Security, and server-side authorization.
- Added API rate limiting, input validation, and hardened PostgreSQL RPC functions to strengthen application security.
- Engineered private document uploads using signed Supabase Storage URLs, MIME and file-signature validation, file-size controls, and protected replacement workflows.
- Built automated PDF archive sorting using browser-side text extraction and database validation to identify and route approved MIO documents.
Project confidentiality
This application was developed as part of professional work for RDC Media. Public information is therefore limited to high-level technical details and does not include proprietary source code, business data, credentials, or confidential internal information.
